Running freshly manicured fingers through blonde hair, Kita crossed her legs, attempting to keep her voice under control as she spoke to her mother. A sigh left her, as she looked out at the park, from her position on the wooden bench, as she rolled her eyes, Mamma, I'm fine, honest. The words were slightly accented with an italian accent from the nine years she spent in Italy, at a private school, with her sister. Sì, mamma, chiamo papà. Te lo prometto. She responded, in only Italian this time, rolling her eyes again, as she pulled the phone away from her ear, as loud italian could be heard. Her mother originated from Italy, and was very careful to make sure that Italy had been a part of her twin daughter's lives. Ki's expression dropped at the thought of her sister, Kida, I hope she is alright. Kita Taman! Are you listening to your madre? Kita winced at her mother's words and quickly brought the phone back to her ear, Mamma? Any word... from Kida yet? The silence on the other end of the line was enough of an answer, as Kita sighed once more, I'll call you later, Mamma. Tell papà I love him. I'll see you guys when I come visit for Christmas. Bye. Kita didn't even wait for her mother to respond, before she hung up. With a sigh, Kita slid her phone back into her jeans pocket, and stood up.
The pretty blonde looked around the park, before she began to walk, her flats crunching against the pebbles of the path that she was on. Kida had gone missing a few years ago, right after they came home from Italy, for summer break. No one knew where she went. There was no note, no ransom call, nada. Just one moment, Kida was there, the next morning, she was gone. And Kita wasn't going to lie, she missed her little, twin sister. Kita sighed, as she began the walk home, her skirt flirting with her ankles, as it swayed while she walked. The bracelets around her wrists gently rang as the bells responded to each step she took. The blonde had a unique flair of style, literally able to grab the most surprising clothing out of the closet and set it up into a design that deserved to be on the cover of some magazine, though Kita would never hope to see herself on the cover. She loved the art of designing, but when it came to herself, she didn't see anything in the mirror, worth the title 'pretty' or 'beautiful.' Not compared to her twin sister - a fraternal twin that took after their mother, with dark hair and eyes.
Kita sighed, as she touched the necklace around her neck, rubbing the locket between her thumb and forefinger before letting it drop and lay between her collarbones. Where ever Kida was, Kita could only hope she was safe. Kita wouldn't expect her sister to bow down and be submissive to anyone. She was always the more dominant out of them - not that Kita wasn't dominant. Kita was just shyer and more thoughtful towards consequences. But, Kida would jump head first into an idea. She'll be okay. She has to be okay. She had to be. Kita sighed, reaching her door, and slid the key into the lock, before she heard a familiar voice behind herGod, been waiting long enough. A half smile appeared on Kita's face as she turned towards her best friend and roommate, Locked yourself out again, Ash? Kita asked the african american who was leaning against the side of the porch, as she opened the door. She held the door open as Ash grinned and sauntered inside in a skirt far to short for the colder temperatures. and Kita followed, locking the door behind her as she rolled her eyes, I'm getting you a lanyard for Christmas. That's the third time this week... and it's only tuesday.
