Feet padded against the damp grass as the vixen's body swayed over the earth's surface. Had the Collie's head not been spinning then maybe she could have enjoyed the morning as it had come to her. She'd woken later than usual, and lately she had begun to go to sleep earlier as well. Limbs staggered beneath her in a tumble of disarray, mind boggled for a moment before she regained herself and continued on- low to the ground. It'd been an exhausting couple of days... It'd been an exhausting week- no, month? She'd lost all track of time lately. Days and nights had swirled into the same thing, it was just a moving track that kept her going ever so often.
Tongue lolled from her jaws in an exhausted manner as she stumbled her way across the lot, losing her footing more often than the old girl kept it. Lately her mind had succumbed to random fits of rage, madness enveloping her- even about those that she had known for so long. Anything that moved, she was compelled to go after it. And though she had no vision, she saw these things in her mind, and knew they were there, and felt an uncontrollable hostility toward them. Those she'd never even met before had become the enemy. Constantly panting, even throughout the cold nights. Her body quivered under a nonexistent chill as she stood herself up from another staggering step.
Puppy-hood. A distant past that the Collie happened to visit so often, had fallen a blaze to the heat that fed her anger. The breeze felt like daggers against her side, entire body twitching to each touch and prick that dared to cross her. Even if the wind rubbed her the wrong way she often snapped at it, canines clipping together in mad dashes to attack the invisible force that was jabbing at her entire body. Nape bristled as she fell again, teeth chomping down onto the rocks- grass- dirt- anything that was before her and brushed against her hide. Rushes of pain settled in fast, limbs staggering with each blow.
Snarl erupted from her throat as she hit the ground a final time, mud splashing up and clinging to her chest and legs. Limbs sprawled out with the fall, body trembling and aching from a prickling sensation. Stiffness contracted her muscles and she slowly curled. Limbs straightened themselves as she fell to her side, breathing heavy as she gasped under a pressure that gave her chest cavity the scare of collapsing. Eyes slowly blinked in and out of consciousness as her figure continued to quiver, it's shake growing more violent as time ticked by. The force thrust her about sadistically, jaws barely parted in gasps for breath as she felt herself being thrown about. Terror, rage- confusion swept through her as the shakes continued to roughen, rocks prickling her as she was thrown and shaken by an invisible force. Tongue fell from her lips and her teeth continuously clamped down on it, but her nerves had grown numb- the sensation died in the midst of fear.
Heart throbbed in her chest cavity with a violent force, it's tremble nothing compared to what was tossing her. Eyelids grew still as the last few jerks thrust from her muscles, brown orbs fixed a stare on what was before her. Breast grew just as still- the wind the only force to move her at all. It's blow barely brushed her hide, ears not even flicking as her figure lay helplessly in the center of the lot. Sightless eyes encountered the darkest curtain they'd ever seen, fear diminishing as the warmth fell from her body and into the earth.
Pain wasn't a scare anymore. Love, or lack there of, was no longer a concern. Blind eyes opened to finally see the world in those last few seconds- on there way to the place.. oh, where blindness would no longer burden her aching eyes.
