KITA ATL LAMANI've been looking for someone to shed some light Not somebody just to get me through the night I could use some direction And I'm open to your suggestions.-----------------------------------------------------------------Post -;- Speech(b) -;- Thoughts(i) -;- Others(s)-----------------------------------------------------------------
Her breath left her in a quick rhythmic pattern. Each paw hit the ground at a different point as she ran, her backpack long abandoned. The humans chasing her laughed, as she spun her head around to look at them. She couldn’t stop long enough to shift, with out them ganging up on her. She growled, as she stretched further, the missing backpack another reason why she couldn’t shift back. Imagine, reforming back to human form, naked, in front of some human guys… Ya, that’d be a good idea. The white shepherd yipped, as she felt something zip past her, and realized one of the boys had started chucking stones, F.ck me! She thought, as she attempted to quicken her speed. If she didn’t find a way to disappear, and soon. She growled as she leapt onto a bench, and vaulted over a fence, and scrambled up a few sets of stairs, so she was now on a level higher than the boys chancing her.
The white shepherd smirked as she heard the cusses, as they scrambled up after her, wasting time, as she greatened the distance between them. The shifter was breathing heavily, now, as she ran; her green eyes scanning the area around her for new twists to take, in an attempt to lose the boys. Which was about when she saw the alleyway. The female veered right, diving into the alleyway, and rising down it, jumping over fallen trashcans, and lose debris. She didn’t even want to know what the hell she was running through, trying to get away. She was becoming desperate, though; and attempted to push that knowledge to the back of her mind. She needed to focus on one thing right now, and that was ditching the acne covered, dorky teenagers. The twenty-year-old white German shepherd shifter soon took a left, spinning and running down another alley, growling as she heard the constant sounds of sneakers slapping against the who-knows-what on the floor of the alley.
Another left, another right, another right, and then, back into the open. A bark left her muzzle, as she heard something zing past her head, and growled as she glared at the tiny rock they’d thrown at her. She’d rip the boys hand off, if she could, just for throwing those rocks… He’d be sorry then! She growled as she swerved around a vender selling hot dogs, rushing towards a boardwalk, and barking as she zipped around people, careful not to run into anyone. Of course, the boys chasing her weren’t as thoughtful. She could hear shouts of protests as others were shoved aside as the boys continued to chase her. She was panting now, as she ran, her eyes not only looking for an escape now, but even for a lone walker, that she might recognize, who’d be willing to come to her help. With out her clothes, there was really nothing for the very modest female to do, but to run.
Her paws pounded against the wooded floor of the boardwalk, as she ran through the part that was literally built over a bay, her eyes on the constant watch. Wasn’t there some vigilante that could take pity on her? One quick easy escape route. Something? She couldn’t really be stuck could she? Then she saw it, a little ways away, a dark patch against a dark wall. A barely visible alleyway. She didn’t even slow down, as she swerved, diving into the alleyway, and waiting for a moment, before speeding off. Surely they wouldn’t be able to find this right? She yipped in surprise when she heard one of them shout There she is! before she was running again. Of course, she wasn’t expecting what was at the end of the alleyway.
Her eyes widened as she saw the ten foot wall, and winced, bunching her legs up and jumping onto trashcan, and attempting to use that extra height to get her over the wall, of course, as she went to jump off, the movement caused the can to twist and fall to the ground, Kita with it. The shepherd yipped in surprise, as she spun around, her back pressed against the wall as she watched the humans approach, as her hackles rose, and she snarled, canines exposed. They think they could corner her? Sell, they should have been ready for a fight, too. She wasn’t going to give in that easily… She wasn’t going to let them bring her down!

Sly Cooper``I GOT WHAT YOU WANT it just don't stop.``
Rooftops, a thief's best friend. Sly was on his daily walk around town, not for any specific reason... but really just to pickpocket and cause a bit of trouble. In his hand was a staff with a hook on the end, the one position he still held from his past, and used specifically for stealing. Of course, Sly was a bit bored now. He'd already picked the pockets dry of so many a passerby that he'd probably made a good two hundred just from coins and measly dollar bills.
Well, and then there was that golden watch, silver ring, and expensive looking pen he'd managed to hook. Those would probably rake in another hundred. Not too bad, for just a random day out. But that was the problem, there was no challenge, nothing to give Sly even an ounce of entertainment. He'd been walking on the rooftops for a while now, and as they day slipped into afternoon, he knew he had to keep a low profile.
That is, until an irresistible challenge placed itself right in front of him. "Hmm, a walker being chased by thugs? Seems like my kinda game to play," he said to himself. At once, he started to follow, leaping across the tops of roofs and waiting for an opportune moment to strike.
"Wow, leading her down an alley. You may have stuck her in one spot, but you've also stuck yourselves," he muttered before leaping down. He grabbed onto a drain pipe, and slid down, flipping into position with his staff facing the thugs in front of Kita. "Hey guys, let's dance, huh?"
They blinked in surprise at him, but then charged. Sly was ready though, he dodged out of the way, and then using his hooked staff, grabbed the man by his wrist and twisted him around so he would crash into his fellow teammates. "Ouch, that looked like it hurt," he teased, a toothy smirk making its way up onto his face.

Kita whimpered, before she snarled, her eyes focused on the smirking males, as she attempted to avoid the possibility of showing too much obvious fear. Her tail was tucked aggressively between her legs, as her canines flashed, as she snarled, watching the men approach, one pulling out a knife, as another chuckled. Kita barked, her tone warning, thought the humans seemed to have lost the ability to translate dog to human, as they grinned and kept approaching, as she snarled and back up till her haunches where against the wall, which is about when a man literally seemed to drop from the sky, flipping mid air, to land on the balls of his feet, between her and the men approaching, Hey guys, let’s dance, huh? Kita’s expression was a mix of surprise, relief, and confusion. Where the hell had he come from. Kita peered out from between his legs, as she watched the men who’d been chasing her a good part of the day, blink in surprise, before they all charged. Kita barked slightly in surprise, ducking behind a trashcan. One, she might be able to handle. All of them, never… Not all at one time. She watched as the mystery rescuer wield a hooked staff, catching one of the assailants wrists and sending him into the other teammates and Kita barked once in a short, celebratory yip. Ouch, that looked like it hurt. Kita watched, as she slowly sneaked back out from the trashcan as one of the men found his way to stand. Dude, come on. This bitch doesn’t even have an owner. Look at her. She’s a mutt. The female snorted, as she glared at the one that had spoke, her hair standing, as she snarled and flashed her teeth. Mutt her ass!
She was a purebred White German Shepherd, and it showed in every inch of her. And no owner? Did he not see the pretty, sparkly blue collar around her neck. Sure, her fur was long, but it was there. With the name ‘Kita’ and her address, and on the back ‘Call Ash if Found’ then it had Ash’s number. Kita snorted, as she stalked just behind the barrier of mystery rescuer that separated her from the men. Come on man, what’s she to you? Just let us have the bitch… There ain’t any reason to worry about her. No one will miss her. No one? No one but her roommate, her friends, her mother and father. And… Kida would know if something was wrong with Kita. She’d feel it… Or at least, Kita hoped she could. She was, after all, her twin sister. Come on man, she’s just a dog… Kita snarled again, her eyes on the stupid human, who could only see her as a dog…. She wondered what they would say if the knew the truth. She snorted, her gaze cold, as she readied herself to attack, should they make one more cruel joke about her, and her ‘uselessness’ Her expression hardened into what could only be described as ‘Let me at ‘em. Let me at ‘em.’

Sly Cooper``THIS IS ENTERTAINMENT lies are entertainment.``
Sly rolled his eyes as the men spat insults at the dog behind him, though rage was building up inside his body. These men just didn't have a clue about skinwalkers, did they? A smirk made its way up onto the thief's face, and throwing his staff in the air, he decided now was a good a time as ever to scare the crap out of these people, "What's wrong with dogs, eh?"
He caught the staff in his other hand, and thrust it forward like a sword, jabbing one of them straight in the gut and sending him sprawling to the floor. Sly was enjoying this a little too much, he realized, and not doing what he was supposed to be doing. With a quick dive to the ground, he rolled, and came up behind another one of the men. With quick and practiced movements, Sly hooked the man around his neck and pulled down, knocking the man's head against the pavement. The impact was clearly heard, and Sly winced a little, "Whoops. Oh well, makes him easier to pickpocket."
Using his tool, he hooked off a watch, and the man's wallet, stuffing it into a sack on his back, "Anyone else have anything valuable?" he asked nonchalantly. The remaining men looked at him with wide eyes, filled with fear, confusion, and anger. All three were valid, Sly supposed, but it would stop being fun if they just ran away.
"Wh-who the hell are you?" one of them asked. "And why the fuck are you defending a stupid dog?"
Sly sighed in frustration, "I don't do well with people who hate on my own kind," he responded. With a quick glance back at Kita, he winked, and then shifted right before everyone's eyes. Standing on four paws with baggy clothes hanging off his body, a Basenji posed tall and proud. "What do you think of me now?" he asked, though the words were lost to the humans. "Right, you idiots don't speak dog. Oh well, maybe you'll speak pain."
He curled his lips up after that, stalking up to the terrified men with a look of pure evil on his face. If this didn't freak them out shitless, Sly wasn't sure what would. All he wished he could do now was laugh like a maniac for the humans to hear.

The white shepherd snorted, annoyed by the insults directed at her, as she growled, pacing slightly, her eyes moving to the mysterious male, as he suddenly smirked, her eyes following his staff as he tossed it into the air, before he spoke, What’s wrong with dogs, eh? Kita snorted, nodding in agreement, though only one of the guys caught her movement, his eyes going wide as if he momentarily believed she was agreeing with the man, before he shook the idea off, snorting as the leader folded his arms, That ain’t any of your concern, man. He declared, though his eyes were watching the staff carefully. Which is why he jumped away, letting it be slammed into the gut of one of his henchmen. Kita snorted, wincing slightly, as she looked at the body of the sprawled man as she watched him cough and hold his belly.
Kita watched as the odd guy spun around, moving around to hook the staff around one of the men’s neck, sending him into the ground, causing the female to wince again, before watching in disbelief as the guy dropped down to put the man’s watch and wallet into his sack. Seriously? Kita yipped, attempting to draw the man’s attention back to the men he was battling, who were slowly beginning to regroup. Of course, it was then that she was once again called a stupid dog, and Kita snarled, canines flashing as she prepared to lunge, when suddenly the man spoke again, I don’t do well with people who hate on my own kind. Kita startled, as she glanced at him, a glance he returned with a wink before suddenly he wasn’t a human any more.
Kita rolled her eyes, as he changed to a dog, standing in baggy pants, in which he spoke to the humans, again, What do you think of me now? Right, you idiots don’t speak dog. Oh well, maybe you’ll speak pain. And then he began to move forward, the look of evil made funny by the way he was walking with all the baggy clothes on his form. Kita snickered slightly before one of the guys blinked, then spoke softly, That… dog, is really some… chick? Kita snarled the moment he had used the word ‘chick’ her lip curling up in an aggressive front, as her hackles stood, her ears flattening. Chick… Chick? “Bastards!” The Italian tones spoke softly, before she bunched her hindquarters, and pressed off with her hind legs, as the muscles uncoiled, sending her sailing, wind momentarily rushing through her ivory fur like she was flying, before she hit one of the men, dead in the chest, knocking him to the ground, and snarling, teeth inches from his throat, as she peeked at the male, who still had one other human to deal with. She glared back down at the one trapped under her large paws, and after snarling, and stepping in a not so pleasing place, the male grunted, and his face twisted in pain, as Kita leapt gently off him, snarling as she moved away, “Get lost.”
He might not speak dog, but the human must have understood as he turned and ran, limping as he held the ‘family jewels.’ She glanced to the other walker, eyebrow raised, as she asked, her accented voice gentle, and not in the least bit unfriendly, “Almost done there? Don’t kill the human… I don’t want to get hunt down, should I accidentally forget my collar, because the story of killer dogs start cycling.” She titled her head slightly, as she waited for his response, her gaze calm, even if slightly exhausted now that the danger had officially passed. Which was no surprise, considering the stress she’d been put through, and the fact she was chased for most of the day. The female shook her head, growing dizzy, till she had to sit down, and it was all she could do not to pass out – now.

Sly Cooper``I'LL BUY MY WAY TO TALK TO GOD so he can live with what i'm not.``
Leaping forward, Sly pinned the last of the shocked men to the ground, smirking as he cowered beneath him. Lips curled up in a snarl, Sly snapped at him, letting his teeth close just before the man's nose. He shrilled like a terrified little girl, and then, while he was distracted, Sly used his back right paw to nudge a wallet out of the man's pocket.
"Oh, I'm sorry," he said sarcastically. "Looks like you dropped something!"
"Almost done there? Don’t kill the human… I don’t want to get hunt down, should I accidentally forget my collar, because the story of killer dogs start cycling.”
"Nah, not my style," Sly responded immediately, stepping off the man. "Now run off kittien. Come back when you have more cash on you...." The human responded in kind, scrambling to his feet and taking off after his companions. Sly rolled his eyes, and then, shook his pelt and stretched until his shoulder blades cracked in satisfaction. "So, what's a girl like you getting chased around by thugs like that? Or were they just being dicks?"
Sly plopped down onto the cement after that, putting one paw over his staff as he looked at Kita inquisitively, "I'm Sly by the way. Sly Cooper... world renown thief... and you are?"
